My name is Liza-Jane Scott, I have a real passion to help mothers with babies and young children. I am the mother of three beautiful adult girls, who have developed into incredible young ladies. I have been around children all my life in some form or another. As a mother, aunty, neighbour and carer.
Soon after my second child was born, my own mother passed away. I had a 15 month old and a 10 day old baby, it would have been so good to have had someone who could offer me practical and emotional support. To have had a helper who was supportive and non-judgemental and to be there when I needed someone to talk to.
I find that most new mums often just require someone to listen, an extra pair of helping hands. I help many families with duties such as: walking the baby/children, bathing, feeding, loading the washing machine, hanging out washing, fold and iron clothes, prepare or cook a simple meal. Sometimes it's just a case of Mum just going back to bed for a couple of hours catch up sleep.
This is why I choose to be a Nurturing Hands for Mums & Bubs provider, to offer you positive and reassuring support during the exciting (but sometimes challenging) time at home with your new baby/infant.
Experience I have over 21 years of experience as a mother and 7 years working with young children. Working in Primary School as a Teacher's Aide to working in Childcare with babies and infant children. The past 12 months I have been specialising in providing New Mothers and Mothers of toddlers with emotional, practical support in the comfort of their homes. I am fully accredited via the New Mums Support Services, hold a Certificate III in Education Support, current first aid and CPR certificate, public liability insurance and a current blue card.
